Established in 1975 by Earl Bakken (co-founder of Medtronic), The Bakken Museum has a range of exhibits and collections that tell the story of electricity, technology and innovation through science and the arts. The Museum is home to more than 2,500 artifacts and 11,000 books and manuscripts.
Set in the picturesque West Winds Mansion on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis that include the Florence Bakken Medicinal Gardens and one of the first green roofs in the Twin Cities.
