What Is Young Epilepsy?

Young Epilepsy (previously the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy) is the only UK charity focused on the 112,000 children and young people with epilepsy. \n\nWe provide specialist services and support both for children and young people with epilepsy and their families. We exist to improve the lives of these individuals, to enable them to fulfil their potential and ensure they have the best quality of life.\n\nWhat we do:\n\n• We campaign for better health and education services, to raise awareness of epilepsy and increase understanding of the condition\n• We provide support via our helpline service\n• We are a major provider of epilepsy training services for people working in the health, medical, education and social care sectors\n• Our world class health and research facility provides diagnostic, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to children and young people in the UK and from other countries. These vital services, along with our varied research programme, aim to achieve valuable insights into childhood epilepsy\n• Our specialist school and Further Education College deliver a range of day and residential services for children and young people (5-25 yrs old) with complex epilepsy, autism and other neurological conditions.\n\nOur Mission: Create Better Futures for Young Lives with Epilepsy
