As a local non-profit we are here to help serve our local community's needs as well as contributing in a positive way to our global neighbors. We offer a recovery related discussion and a yoga practice at women's shelters, recovery centers, churches, yoga studios, at-risk youth groups, parks, sober living homes, offices and and in collaboration with other like-minded groups. Our community class price is $5.00 per person or a donation that you can afford. We are all recovering from something and yoga can be a powerful tool for coping and self discovery. The word “recovery” covers many bases, including substance abuse, violence, illness, compulsive behaviors, depression, death of a loved one, divorce, Veterans, PTSD, and any other trauma you or a family member may have experienced. Addtionally, this is a great tool for family members of those in the recovery process. What Do Our Yoga Sessions Look Like? Every week we focus on a different topic that is relevant to our recovery. We begin class with a short discussion and share session, then move into a reflective guided meditation on the topic of the day while doing energizing breath work. We then set our intention for the practice. The all-level asana flow embodies the intention. Our practice will close with a short savasana and a poem. Our classes are safe and empowering and allow for reflection, healing, and moving forward. Everyone deserves peace and happiness so we invite you to come as you are!
