YMCA Auckland is a not-for-profit community organisation that offers programmes and services for children, teenagers and adults in and around Auckland and Hamilton. YMCA Auckland operates a number of fitness, recreation and aquatic facilities, eleven of which are through partnerships with Auckland Council, including an award winning facility. Our centres provide the community with a vast range of recreational and sport programmes catering to all ages and abilities and include twelve fitness clubs, five aquatic facilities, two camps, two accommodation buildings, five licensed early childhood centres and eight indoor stadiums. We operate many successful programmes such as learn to swim, youth development, kids activities, as well as being the largest provider of out of school care and recreation (OSCAR) services in New Zealand. Fitness is our largest business unit and we have achieved huge success in 2008 and 2009 by winning more awards at the national fitness awards than any other fitness club provider. In 2014, two of our Fitness Managers were recognised as Group Instructor and Personal Trainer of the Year in the Exercise Industry Awards. Nationally we are also the largest provider of residential camping facilities. We also offer comfortable, affordable and highly rated and enviro friendly accommodation assessed by Qualmark.
