YASA designs and manufactures exceptionally compact and power dense e-motors and motor controllers for hybrid and electric vehicles. For a given power & torque requirement, YASA can deliver significantly smaller and lighter electric motors and controllers than any other competing technology. Furthermore, the technology is inherently lower cost than competitor motors when purchased in volume due to the motors exceptionally high utilisation of magnetic material and YASA's advanced manufacturing technology. The high performance YASA motors and generators are suitable for range of markets and applications, and excel in the toughest environments where weight and space are critical for the end-user. In 2018, YASA officially opened its 100,000 unit per annum e-motor and controller serial production facility in Kidlington near Oxford, UK.
