Formed in 1923, the World Energy Council is the worldâ??s first permanent energy organization. We do not advocate for any resource, technology or solution. We are worldâ??s only truly open-to-all, impartial and vehemently independent energy community. Our enduring mission focusses on the practical â??how toâ?? enable better energy for humanity in an era of energy for peace and planet.\n\nThe Council represents the entire energy spectrum with over 3,000 member organisations in around 90 countries, drawn from governments, private and state corporations, academia, NGOs and energy stakeholders. \n\nThrough our best-in-class World Energy Insights programme, high-level events including the World Energy Congress, and extensive member network, the Council informs global, regional and national energy strategies and facilitates the worldâ??s energy policy dialogue.
