William Rawn Associates, Architects, Inc., in Boston, formed in 1983, has completed a large number of projects, ranging from complex urban buildings to college campuses, from performing arts facilities to affordable housing. Best known is the 1,200-seat Seiji Ozawa Hall for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, named by Leo Beranek’s Concert Halls and Opera Houses as one of the best concert halls in the US in terms of acoustics (#4), and the second best concert hall built in the US in the past 50 years. Recently completed projects include the Rubenstein Arts Center at Duke University, Boston Public library Johnson Building Transformation, Harvard Business School Klarman Hall, and King Open / Cambridge Upper Street Schools & Community Complex.
