William Newton Hospital has a proud heritage of excellence in patient care. WNH is classified as a Critical Access, not-for-profit community general hospital licensed for 25 acute care and swing beds. The hospital is certified by CMS and is self supporting, receiving no tax subsidies. WNH is fortunate to have a well diversified and excellent medical staff including 18 members on the active staff and a growing number of consulting physicians and allied professionals currently in excess of 60. In addition to acute care, the hospital provides same-day surgery, orthopedic surgery, skilled swing beds, home healthcare, audiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and many other diagnostic and therapeutic services. The hospital operates four rural health clinics in Cowley, Elk and Chautauqua counties and an occupational health program to assist local business and industry.
