What Is Wesley Community and Health Centers?

From our humble beginnings in 1950, Wesley Community & Health Centers has focused on serving the needs of our local neighborhoods and residents. For nearly 70 years we have been a catalyst for enhancing the wellbeing our community, while also providing educational opportunities and tools to help them achieve a better life. Empowering positive change in our communities is the central ideal in every program and service we offer at Wesley Community & Health Centers. Our offerings are constantly evolving to better serve the needs of our community. If a specific need arises, we quickly adapt our programs to match those requirements. Through our Community Center programs, we work to provide opportunities for personal and social growth within the populace. These programs help improve and enhance our neighborhood resident's quality of life. Programs like our “After School - Strong Youth Strong Community”, Neighborhood Revitalization, Nutrition, Adult Education, and Financial Literacy programs offer opportunities for the population we serve to grow and improve. We have strong partnerships with business and community organizations that help us serve local families and members of the community. At Wesley Health Centers, our services are focused on providing high quality healthcare to everyone who comes to us, regardless of financial means. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center where we meet or exceed the highest standards set by the federal government. Our physicians are Board Certified Family Practitioners, and our Nurse Practitioners are graduates of doctoral programs in family practice or adult health. All of our provider staff are instructors or clinical preceptors of students and residents attending medical and nursing programs. We also have specialists who rotate through our Health Center, and several have completed additional fellowships and specialized training beyond their residencies. All our providers are either Spanish-English bilingual or have interpreters assisting them. Our provider staff selected Wesley Health Centers as their place of employment because they wanted to serve patients in a caring, compassionate, and friendly environment. Using the most recent research and diagnostic guidelines to direct their practice of healthcare, they approach each patient with open minds and open hearts to provide the best healthcare possible. We invite you to learn more about the programs and services we have designed for you. By examining our rich history and current programs and services, we hope you will understand our purpose and support our future. When we join together as a true community, TOGETHER WE EMPOWER POSITIVE CHANGE.
