Washington Research Foundation (WRF) operates at the intersection of academic research, technology development, public and private investment, philanthropy and industry. We have a strong track record of supporting innovation in the life sciences and engineering, from early research to commercial production. WRF supports research and scholarship in Washington state, with a focus on life sciences and enabling technologies. WRF was formed in 1981 to assist universities and other nonprofit research institutions in Washington state with the commercialization and licensing of their technologies.
