WMBF-TV is the NBC station for the Myrtle Beach-Florence television market. \n\nWMBF provides extensive local news, weather, and sports coverage of the Myrtle Beach-Florence-Lumberton area. Coverage includes all eight counties of this growing television market. \n\nAs the area's first local NBC station, WMBF carries the full range of programming, including The Today Show, Sunday Night Football, NBC Nightly News, The Tonight Show and much more.\n\nThe station's local news operation also benefits from the newsgathering resources of NBC and its affiliated stations nationwide, and WMBF shares regional news content with other Gray TV stations in the Carolinas and even throughout the country. \n\nWMBF launched on-air in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics on 08-08-08. While other television stations are required by law to transition to all-digital broadcasting in February 2009, WMBF was all-digital from day 1. Digital TV and HDTV owners are able to receive the station's programming over the air using an antenna. WMBF is also available on cable and satellite.
