The manufacture of electric motors was in the origin of the Company, but today WEG is a global supplier of solutions, control systems, control and protection of Motors and systems of Distribution and Energy Transformation. With presence in Portugal since 2002, through its industrial unit in Maia and more recently since 2017, with the new plant of Santo Tirso, WEG is today a reference of the Portuguese National Industry, dedicated to the manufacture of electrical motors, design and implementation of Automation Solutions, Energy and Services.
