What Is Vets Now?

Vets Now is dedicated to improving the lives of pets and vets by providing emergency care when most vets' surgeries are closed. For pets, we're an out-of-hours accident and emergency service. For vets, we're trusted, expert partners providing an extension to the practice's daytime activity.\n\nVets Now was founded in 2001 by Richard Dixon, a veterinary surgeon who understood the stress of being on-call round the clock while trying to maintain a decent quality of life. His solution was Vets Now - a dedicated out-of-hours emergency and critical care service for pets.\n\nOver the following years Richard and his team helped to revolutionise the way emergency veterinary care is provided outside normal surgery hours. The key to the Vets Now service is a dedicated, full-time team who only work at night, over weekends and during public holidays. We employ some of the country's leading specialists in emergency and critical care, and because of their work pattern, our staff have a wealth of experience in the field.\n\nWe have out of hours clinics across the country, as well as state-of-the-art pet emergency hospitals in Glasgow, Swindon and Manchester. We've also pioneered other ways to help vets and animals, with a comprehensive referrals service, training and CPD events, including ECC Congress - the UK's largest emergency and critical care congress with internationally-renowned speakers and exhibitors.
