Verdane funds provide flexible growth capital to fast growing software, consumer internet, energy or high-technology industry businesses. The funds are distinctive in that they can invest either in a single company, or in portfolios of companies. Verdane funds always seek to deliver more than capital to the businesses they invest in. Based on deep sector knowledge, Verdane works closely with the management teams of companies to help accelerate organic and non-organic growth. During Verdane funds' ownership, realised core companies have achieved 90% revenue growth on average. The investment advisory firm's roots date back to 1985, when it was operating as a venture capital firm under the name of Four Seasons Venture. Verdane was spun out and founded in its current form in 2003, by Managing Partner Bjarne Lie. Seven funds have brought total committed capital across Verdane funds to €1.2bn. Verdane Capital IX, a SEK 3bn fund established in 2016, is currently making new investments, and Verdane Edda, established in 2018 with SEK 3bn in commitments is also making new investments.
