For the third consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked University of Virginia Medical Center as the No. 1 hospital in Virginia. This is an impressive achievement for our organization that validates our ongoing efforts to put patients at the center of everything we do. The publication’s 2018-2019 “Best Hospitals” guide also recognizes nine UVA specialties for adults among the best in the U.S. Together with the announcement in June that six specialties from UVA Children’s Hospital are ranked in the top 50 nationally by U.S. News, these awards highlight your dedication to providing excellent care to every patient every day. Our physicians, nurses and team members are actively involved in research that gives patients access to treatments and medicine not widely available. Consequently, patients travel from around the world to seek treatment with us.
