The University of Louisville Athletics is home to 23 varsity sports and over 700 student-athletes who proudly represent our university, city, and a passionate devoted fanbase, the Card Nation. The athletes that wear the Red and Black join a family of trophy winners, all-stars, first-round picks, gold medalists, world-record holders, and athletic icons who all share the edict: We play for the name on the front of the jersey, not on the back.\n \nAt UofL Athletics, it's bigger than the game… We are the intersection of sport and culture. We are fiercely devoted to our values built on inclusion and dedicated to the student-athlete experience--- helping our students become champions in life. We believe that through sport we have the power to change lives.
