Since 1960, U.S. Embassy, London, has been located in the Chancery Building in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair. The size of the Mission directly reflects the scope and complexity of the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom. The Mission consists of 41 U.S. government entities which employ over 1000 staff. In the Summer of 2017, the embassy is scheduled to move to its'”‹ new facility in Nine Elms, Wandsworth. The embassy's new home promises to be a modern, welcoming, safe and energy efficient building, and well suited as a 21st century diplomatic hub.
