What Is Tyromer?
Tyromer Inc. has commercialized its rubber devulcanization technology developed at the University of Waterloo. This breakthrough patented manufacturing process converts scrap rubber into a polymer to be reused in tire manufacturing in excess of 20%. Globally, no other process has been used more than 5% without using chemicals. Tyromer is revolutionizing worldwide scrap tire management & rubber recycling with its polymer called TDP (Tire-derived polymer) which can be sold at a discounted price to virgin rubber and tire compound.
