TrestleTree's origin formed at the intersection of two divergent professions, two great friends and one shared worldview. In the Fall of 1998, the two founders, Ted Borgstadt and Dr. Clint Gabbard, planted the seeds of TrestleTree. Ted was the co-owner and managed three retail pharmacies in Northwest Arkansas. Clint was the Director of Counseling and Psychological services at Purdue University. Their friendship spanned over two decades, when Clint and Ted played football for the Evangel College Crusaders in Springfield, MO. The idea was to craft a revolutionary relationship in health care. One that leveraged the trust, credibility, and the unique intellectual property of a pharmacist, but quickly added training that would create deep relationships of influence and trust. Personal Health Coaches would be placed in a position to support the best hopes of individuals endeavoring to live healthier lives.
