What Is Transdev Sydney?

OVERVIEW Transdev Sydney has proudly operated Sydney Light Rail since 1999 and currently operates the Inner West Light Rail network on behalf of Transport for NSW. The current 12.7km route connects Central Station via 23 stops through Sydney's Inner Western suburbs to Dulwich Hill and transports more than 8.4 millions customers each year. Our operations employ in excess of 130 people and we are committed to the health and safety of all employees, customers and contractors. Employees participate in extensive training and safety programs to develop their skills and contribute to the safety and success of the business. The most desirable commuter transport in Sydney, light rail is environmentally responsible, convenient and efficient. CONNECTING COMMUNITIES Extending light rail Working with Transport for NSW, we successfully launched the Inner West Extension in March 2014. The $176 million extension included nine new stops and 5.6km of new track, connecting the existing light rail service, operating from Central to Lilyfield, to Dulwich Hill in the inner west. Future opportunities Transdev Sydney is also part of the ALTRAC Light Rail consortium charged with design, construction, operation and maintenance of the $2.1 billion, 12km, CBD and South East Light Rail extension from Circular Quay to Kensington and Randwick, due to open early 2019.
