Tower Hamlets College Revenue and Competitors

On August 1 2016, Tower Hamlets College merged with Hackney Community College. The new college has 17,000 students, 800 staff and a turnover of close to £40m a year. Both Colleges will retain their campuses in both boroughs, names and identities in a partnership of equals. Tower Hamlets College is an Ofsted rated Good college with outstanding features, based in east London. It's Poplar campus is located just two minutes from the financial and business district of Canary Wharf, and its Arbour Square campus, in Stepney, is close to the City of London. The Borough Principal at Tower Hamlets College is Alison Arnaud. The College provides education for students aged 14-18 and adults. Students study a range of courses including A-level and vocational, GCSE and higher education and industry specific courses in accountancy, IT, early years and health and social care. It also has one of the largest ESOL provisions in the country. There is also provision for apprenticeship training. Success rates have increased year on year, with an overall achievement rate of 94% for 2015 and over 300+ students progressing to university, including top Russell Group ones like King's, UCL and Queen Mary. It has also placed 60+ students into internship positions with KPMG, the most of any London college. IT students have secured highly sought after degree apprenticeships at leading international companies including Accenture and Goldman Sachs.
