Tier Consult Ltd is a vibrant consultancy established in April 2003, based near Chester offering a range of services including structural engineering design, infrastructure (including all aspects of foul and surface water drainage) and project management services, within the industrial sector. Established by Mr Philip Barlow, formerly the North West regional Director of the Structures department at Veryards Ltd's North Wales office, Tier Consult Ltd now employs 25 senior technical staff, including 7 professionally qualified structural engineers, with over 140yrs of extensive experience between them. A flexible (yet commercial) approach together with a keen eye for detail, has enabled Tier Consult Ltd to secure major appointments across the UK in residential, commercial, retail and educational sectors. The company has developed further service streams such as Geo-environmental and Civil engineering across new office locations. The Manchester office opened in 2008, the Sheffield office opened in September 2011, the Geo-environmental department moved to Warrington in June 2012 and the London office opened in August 2013. In addition, the company has secured numerous appointments with private developers for private residential, commercial and industrial developments across the North West with contract values ranging from £3 million - £25 million. Tier Consult is also involved in the repair and refurbishment of existing structures, including historic and listed buildings and has extensive experience of working within archaeologically constrained sites. The company is conversant with all types of buildings and foundations and is also proficient in the design of all aspects of external works and associated below ground drainage utilising the latest in design software and drainage techniques and computer software packages.
