What Is The Laundress?
The Laundress co-founders and fabric care experts, Gwen Whiting and Lindsey Boyd were inspired to start the brand after being frustrated with dingy white T-shirts, faded denim, and prematurely worn pieces. Knowing that their wardrobes were washable, they decided to research and develop their own laundry solutions – literally! In addition to innovative detergents, the collection also includes laundry tools and storage bags. Faced with similar frustrations when cleaning their homes, the two answered with the eco-friendly Home Cleaning collection. The Laundress products are made with nontoxic, biodegradable and allergen-free materials. All are free of petroleum, SLS, phosphate, phthalates, dye and animal by-products. Each of their detergents, fabric care, and home cleaning solutions are tested on Gwen & Lindsey.
