What Is The Columbia Group?

The Columbia Group was founded in 1967 by Dr. Norman Witbeck as Columbia Research Corporation (CRC). Throughout the years, Dr. Witbeck led CRC in supporting several military programs with expertise in engineering, logistics and acquisition. Our sister company, Computer Products, Incorporated (CPI) was founded in 1985 by Martin Arase. Throughout its history, CPI has supported military department CFO's with financial management professionals and underlying management information systems. Today, we are proud to present ourselves as The Columbia Group.
