Tek Pak Revenue and Competitors

Tek Pak is a major producer of plastic packaging materials for the electronics industry. It employs 55 people at its Batavia site and also has facilities in Sweden. Evans also recently invited Tek Pak President Anthony Beyer and 14 other U.S. business executives to accompany Commerce Department officials on a visit to China in two weeks as part of an initiative to promote stronger trade relations between the United States and China, which joined the World Trade Organization in 2001. The trip will coincide with the 14th session of the U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in Beijing. Established in 1992, Tek Pak focused on doing business in China from the beginning. "This is something that we have felt strongly about for several years," said Human Resources Director Renee Carter. "We're just a hopping company here." Companies chosen to join the economic convoy were selected according to which industry they belonged and whether it was one of the sectors identified to produce major growth, including the information technology, telecommunications, clean energy and environmental technology, medical products, and construction industries. Other criteria included the seniority of the business' representative, the quality of a company's international trade activity and general characteristics of the company such as size and location. The companies are meant to paint a picture of diversity in American business.
