Tanzania Education Corporation Revenue and Competitors

Tanzania Education Corporation (TEC) is a Boston based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides financial and academic support for Tumaini Schools in Karatu, Tanzania. Tumaini was founded by a Tanzanian couple to bring high quality, holistic education to the district of Karatu. All classes are taught in English which gives the students a distinct advantage over students enrolled in government schools. Tumaini currently ranks within the top 1% of primary schools in Tanzania. Tumaini serves as a model for government schools in the area. TEC provides scholarships for children who would otherwise not be able to attend school through the Student Sponsorship Program. TEC provides funding for much-needed construction projects and other donations such as books, sports equipment, laptop computers and learning software.
