Syringa Networks, Idaho's leading fiber optic network provider, was created in 2002 by twelve rural Idaho telephone companies with a determination to improve telecommunication and rural broadband services in Idaho. These companies have a combined 800 year history of doing business in Idaho. Examples of the next-generation technologies that Syringa Networks utilize are dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) and synchronous optical network (SONET) systems. These technologies allow expansion of transport capacity and provide customers the necessary bandwidth to support their telecom-dependant applications. Recent upgrades to our network infrastructure have increased backbone transport capacity in excess of 400GB, making the network the most robust and scalable in the state.
