What Is South Bay Credit Union?

We have a full array of banking services with better rates, lower fees, and more value. We have 10,000 more FREE ATM's than the largest banks through our membership with CO-OP so that you can access your money easily, conveniently and FREE. Find your nearest ATM: http://www.co-opfs.org/public/locators/ATMlocator/index.cfm#loctaor. Or receive a text message by texting the address, intersection or zip code to 692667 (MYCOOP). As a credit union, we are owned by our members and driven by the spirit of volunteerism in community involvement. Everything we do is aimed at meeting the changing needs of our member-owners in a manner that is beneficial to the membership as a whole. South Bay Credit Union was organized on February 10, 1953. The original credit union, Centinela-South Bay Credit Union, originally served the employees of the cities of Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach and their families. Over the years, the Credit Union expanded its member groups to include other organizations throughout the South Bay area. This expansion primarily focused on the public sector, including local school districts, fire, and police departments. After nearly 50 years serving the South Bay community, SBCU officially changed its charter and became a community-based credit union on February 28, 2002.
