Sitation was founded in 2001 in Boston, MA, and later moved its offices to Syracuse, NY. Sitation was initially created as a web design and web application programming firm. Today Sitation has grown into the title of application service provider, and offers website content management solutions for small businesses, web hosting, and innovative e-commerce solutions to a wide variety of clients. Steven J. Engelbrecht, President and founder of Sitation, holds a degree in computer science from Cornell University. We're sometimes asked how we chose our name. "Sitation" was selected because it rings of our core competency--creating websites. To us, however, "Sitation" means more than just making websites--it means using our experience and technical know-how to outfit your organization with internet technologies that will best serve your customers and help you do business online.
