What Is Silva Homes?
Silva Homes is a vibrant, confident and independent housing association with ambitious plans, backed by strong finances and excellent colleagues. We were established in 2008 as a stock transfer association, and since transfer we have added just under 800 homes to our property portfolio and have significantly invested in, and improved, our homes and services to our customers. Silva Homes owns and manages around 6,200 rented homes, including 400 sheltered housing flats, as well as 1,200 leaseholder properties. As well as looking after all tenancy issues, rent payments, repairs to homes and landscaping, Silva Homes has also carried out a major improvement programme, including fitting new kitchens, bathrooms and heating replacements in homes that need them, and is building new affordable homes. Like all registered housing associations, Silva Homes is regulated by Homes England, which is a government body. We have approximately 220 colleagues providing services which include housing management, supported housing, technical services, landscaping, development and central services.
