Serosep Ltd is both a manufacturer and a distributor of laboratory diagnostic instruments and consumables. Initially Serosep Ltd developed a presence in the Irish market, partnering with strong brands, and supplying diagnostic equipment and consumables into pathology, veterinary and environmental laboratories. With a strong team of experienced Scientists, Microbiologists and Molecular Scientists we specialised in developing our own range of products including: real time PCR diagnostic kits for clinical microbiology (EntericBio®) fixatives for Histology (HistoPot®) water chemistry reagents (Precision®) In Oct. 2012, we launched the first diagnostic kit in the world that can detect gastroenteritis from faecal samples within 3 hours. Standard culture based testing methods require a minimum of 48 hours. Bacteria detected include Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, Verotoxin E. Coli Shiga toxin 1 and Shiga toxin 2 and Clostridium difficile toxin B. labour intensive savings and rapid results provide many benefits to the hospital, scientist and patient.
