What Is Saffron Technology?
Saffron Technology was founded in 1999 in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Saffron's founders had spent years evaluating and using neural network and other artificial intelligence software products. After encountering the scaling issue with Associative Memories in 1998 while leading IBM's Knowledge Management and Intelligent Agent Center, Saffron's founders, Dr. Manny Aparicio and Jim Fleming, left IBM and founded Saffron Technology. Saffron was founded with a mission to overcome the more than fifty-year "crossbar problem" with associative memories and to enable more advanced, intelligent computing. Saffron recognizes that: Today's business challenges are highly complex and dynamic; Productivity is currently hindered by the inability to leverage vast data repositories and organizational experts; Current approaches to search, knowledge management, data mining, and learning technologies are not sufficient to address the biggest challenges; Data and information overload is constraining decision-making and operational processes. Saffron's mission is to continue to advance Saffron's patented associative memory technology in order to provide extremely powerful predictive software solutions.
