What Is SYOU co-designed sneakers?

Put simply, SYOU is a new way to think about sneakers. We collaborate with emerging talent from inspiring countries all over the globe to create co-designed sneakers. It’s a creative and commercial handshake across the world. \n\nSYOU also stands for ISEEYOU – representing the fact that we see talent all over the world. Every collection is inspired by a country. We collaborate with local manufacturers in each country and every pair of SYOU sneakers is locally produced, using 100% locally sourced materials. We pay honest prices for manufacturing and materials and, through our actions, we hope to stimulate the local economy (local production, local materials, local creative industry). We collaborate with creative talent from each country – from copywriters to graphic designers to artists – to create the entire story around the product and country. We believe fashion, commercial success and sustainable production can work hand-in-hand. We pay every contributor fairly for their work and approach the entire value chain in an ethical way. It's a true partnership – after all, it’s the local creative community talent that makes the whole thing possible. We call it co-design. \n\nThrough our actions we hope to contribute to a better perception of a country. We call this positive country branding. And, along with co-design, positive country branding is an essential part of the SYOU philosophy. Sometimes the media like to get their teeth into negative aspects of a country and this can lead to it being labeled, and preconceived ideas can be formed by the public. At SYOU we emphasize positive, inspiring stories and look to the future. We know we can’t change the world, but, in our own small way, we’re trying to contribute by doing what we believe in.
