In 2012 SVF celebrated its 30 year anniversary. Since its inception in 1982 SVF has evolved into a leading supplier of high performance ball valves, actuators and controls that includes a robust design initiative to develop custom valve configurations and solutions. SVF was formed as a Master Distributor of ball valves until 1999 when market conditions and a talented organization drove a shift to design and brand management as an independent manufacturer. This model shift was supported by a product development plan that started in 1995 and resulted in products such as; CleanFlow hygienic valves, SupraLon steam and thermal fluid seating material, Opus steam trap test valve and an encapsulated body seal in the Series 8 valves. In 2004 -2007 SVF worked with design engineers at Applied Materials (AMAT) and developed an abatement valve system that resulted in nearly $2 Million in sales. Their Pro-Spec custom design team also developed products for Anadarko, BP and an array of other clients with specific requirements. The FS product developed for BP became part of the solution for the Gulf Oil Spill when it was installed on the intermediate well head to provide instrument readings that recorded the sub-surface, sub-sea conditions. Today SVF is applying experience, talent, engineering prowess and market position to develop and implement a business model and position strategy that will be based on the differentiating factors that are of value to the marketplace.
