Active since 2007, SolarWorks! designs and markets high quality solar solutions for lighting and DC electricity provision for occasions where there is no or limited access to electricity. Our focus region is Southern Africa where we aim to become the nr 1 player in our field. Geographically we have our biggest operation in Mozambique where we serve thousands of customers through a Pay As You GO (PAYGO) business model. We are a real people focused business: we really care for our clients and want to make sure we improve their lives for many years to come as we are taking a long term view on our business. In addition: our close to 300 employees have plenty of ways to develop their careers where we focus on each individual's strengths which we try to identify as early as possible. We pride ourselves in having some of our best people in key positions that we developed internally and work with local talents as much as possible: in Mozambique for example we only have one expat. In 2019 we started in Malawi as well and we will add a third country this year. Our commercial headquarters for Africa are in Johannesburg.
