What Is SA Brain and Company?

Brains is Wales’ most famous drink. It is the toast of a nation.\n\nStill owned by the descendants of the founders that took over a fledgling brewery in a small stone building behind a Cardiff pub in 1882, you can now find the Brains name above the door of over 270 pubs, bars and hotels across Wales.\n\nBrains' portfolio of ales includes the iconic Brains SA, as well as the widely popular Rev James range alongside a variety of seasonal and craft beers to suit all tastes, developed by the Brains Craft Brewery\n\nThe pub estate has expanded rapidly over the past 10 years and nearly every pub now offers a good range of quality food. And if you are looking for somewhere to stay, entertain or celebrate, many Brains pubs now offer bedrooms and function rooms.\n\nBrains have always been incredibly passionate about Welsh sport. To mark this passion, fourteen years ago they launched their sponsorship of the Welsh Rugby Union and nothing filled them with pride more than seeing the brand name emblazoned across the famous red jersey. Even more so when Brains saw their logo across their shirt for the famed Grand Slam wins of 2005 and 2008.\n\nBrains' support of the WRU continues today as their Official Ale partner. As a family-owned Welsh brewer, naturally Brains want to make sure that you’ve got a proper Welsh pint to enjoy a proper game of Welsh rugby, and their amazing range of ales means that will always be a refreshing pint for everybody when you cheer on Wales.\n\nIn 2005, spurred on by our successful sponsorship of the Welsh rugby team, Brains expanded our sponsorship to the Football Association of Wales. This partnership has been an exciting one for Brains, and they have been proud to see Wales qualify for the Euros 2016, their first major tournament qualification since 1958!\n\nThe company is proud of its independence and the way that it has evolved over its colourful history.
