Rockwear was established in 1991. The brand was created through identifying a niche in the market for activewear product off the back of the fitness industry particularly targeted at instructors. Adam Rock, throughout the 1990's, performed his brand of energetic aerobics for fitness enthusiasts across Australia and around the world. In 1991 he teamed up with his partner Stephanie Astill-Rock to form Rockwear International. What began as a hobby soon burst into a thriving fashion business. Wherever Adam went on tour… Rockwear went also. As Rockwear's reputation for unique design and exceptional quality grew, so did sales and business. By the late 1990's Rockwear's women's fitness clothing was reaching out to many throughout Australia and the world via regular catalogues, an online ordering website, distributors, agents and wholesalers. Rockwear now has 19 stores in Australia and a growing online business. Whilst Rockwear is predominantly anchored in retail in Queensland, the brand is on the cusp of becoming a national player within women fashion as growth across all states is planned over the coming 12-18 months. Rockwear is part of the Retail Apparel Group (RAG). Retail, Fashion, Womenswear, Activewear
