Red River Commodities has taken steps to stabilize the risky business of agriculture production. Locating production facilities in a number of diverse geographical areas allows Red River Commodities to be less dependent on the growing conditions of a single geographic region. Our original plant, located in Fargo, North Dakota, is centered in the birthplace of confection sunflower. Other confection plants in Colby, Kansas and Lubbock, Texas represent our strategy to develop new confection sunflower production areas. Located in the heart of millet and oil sunflower country, our Delamere, North Dakota plant houses our growing birdfood business. Park Rapids, Minnesota, the home of our Green Valley Bean plant, is a center for irrigated kidney bean production, and Zevenbergen, the Netherlands, is the home of our Red River - Van Eck BV poppy seed and caraway seed plant.
