What Is Raise Foundation?

Raise is the youth mentoring foundation in Australia using best practice mentoring to impact the wellbeing of young Australians. Our differentiators include TAFE accredited mentor training, program management by qualified counsellors, and conduct of comprehensive evaluation. We provide our service at a greatly reduced cost compared to other youth mentoring organisations while providing industry best practice in mentoring standards. Raise creates thriving communities by empowering young people to become resilient, capable and connected. We impact the wellbeing of young people who are at risk of disengaging by providing best practice mentoring programs in high schools and in the community. Mentoring from a positive role model provides a nurturing pathway for teenagers to feel supported through tough times, particularly if they feel they can't talk to other significant adults in their lives. The power of having someone neutral to talk to, who really listens and actually hears you, is extraordinary. Mentors can change thinking and save lives. With this in mind, we conduct two main mentoring programs, one in high schools for year 7 to 11 students and one for young girls who are pregnant or parenting. Raise Mentors help mentees to increase resilience and relationships, ask trusted adults for help, improve confidence, set and achieve smart goals, and engage with education and employment. It takes a village to raise a child. Join the Raise village today and help us support struggling young Australians.
