What Is RE/MAX 1st Advantage?
Gene and Tim Costello, co-owners of RE/MAX 1st Advantage, have been in the real estate since 1959 and 1984 respectively. In 2005, Gene and Tim Dreamed big and made the decision to form their own company. They purchased a RE/MAX franchise. Gene and Tim, along with Cuong Dang (current Vice President) began their journey in March 2006, by leasing 5,000sqft and outfitting the entire space. RE/MAX 1st Advantage was born. RE/MAX 1st Advantage was established during one of the worst real estate markets in Central PA history. Together, Gene and Tim worked hard to find the “best of the best†staff and agents that would help move the company forward. Slow and steady, they worked every day to provide their agents with the support they needed to obtain listings and close sales. Unlike any other broker, they created a new approach and provided their agents with the same training they had paid $1,000 a month since 1999. This same training enabled Team Costello to drastically improve their personal sales business from 40 deals a year in 1999 to over 200 closed and pending deals in 2015. With the knowledge and skills they internalized over the years, Gene and Tim built a strong foundation for the company by passing the same expertise on to their agents with personal training. Gene and Tim coach and train agents three days a week. As a result, RE/MAX 1st Advantage became #1 in the Central Penn Multi List system for number of units sold by a single office in 2013. By 2014, RE/MAX 1st Advantage became the #1 office in both sales and volume by a single office in the CPML system.
