Qantas Defence Services Pty Ltd (QDS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways Ltd created in 1999 with a specific focus on the Defence Aerospace Industry to support a range of Defence programs. QDS is part of the Qantas Group and employs approx 500 people. QDS provides a wide range of integrated logistics support of Australian Government and Defence Force aviation for fleet management, maintenance, overhaul, engineering, logistics, training, project and contract management. QDS main support services for the Commonwealth of Australia and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF): Partnered with EADS for the supply of Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport and undertake conversion work into KC-30A, including Through Life Support (TLS) and maintenance.
