Prince George Community Foundation Revenue and Competitors

Established in 1995, the Prince George Community Foundation manages charitable gifts from donors whose generosity allows us to create permanent income-earning funds. The proceeds from these funds are distributed as grants to charitable organizations throughout our community.\n\nWe, the Prince George Community Foundation, are passionate about our community and are entrusted with its future, a responsibility we take to heart.\n\nOur goal is to build a resilient, healthy, philanthropic community and we aim to achieve this through our three strategic goals:\n\n1. The development of a sustainably managed endowment\n2. Strategic grant giving to projects that make an impact to our community\n3. Demonstrating community leadership\n\nWe have six key areas of support:\n\n1. Arts & Culture\n2. Environment\n3. Health\n4. Recreation\n5. Social Services\n6. Sports\n\nThe Community Foundation brings together people who care about their community. The original vision for the Foundation was imagined by a group of passionate community leaders and that mandate is carried on today by our board of directors, our lifetime and honourary members, and small but mighty staff team.\n\nThe Foundation hosts several engagement events every year to recognize community leadership, the efforts of charitable organizations throughout Prince George, to thank sponsors and partners, and to continue to raise funds for future giving back to our community:\n\n- Citizens of the Year Gala\n- FARR/WIC Golf Tournament\n- Grant Award Receptions\n- Vital Conversations
