What Is Primary Ethics?

Primary Ethics exists to develop and deliver philosophical ethics education for children in urban, regional and rural schools. We have developed an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and the accompanying learning and teaching materials, for primary school children (K-6) in New South Wales and deliver it to these children free of charge via a network of trained volunteers. With the help of volunteers, Primary Ethics provides ethics classes to over 400 schools in New South Wales. The philosophical ethics classes that make up the Primary Ethics curriculum are inquiry based. Children use dialogue and discussion, learning how to think about ethical matters through the give-and-take of reasoned argument.
