Positive Approach, LLC is an international organization that advocates and provides dementia care training, and consulting specializing to healthcare professionals and family care partners. Our philosophy and care partnering techniques are developed by nationally renowned dementia educator, Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA. Positive Approachâ„¢ training programs improve outcomes without pharmacological interventions. Participants learn fundamental dementia related information, techniques to better understand behavior and effective communication, and ways to change our own behavior, in the moment, to meet the changing needs of those living with dementia. We offer four categories of dementia related certifications for Trainers, Consultants, Coaches, and Engagement Leaders, which include licenses to use proprietary training materials as long as certification is maintained. Additionally, Positive Approachâ„¢ offers e-learning opportunities and provides onsite training to assisted living, hospice, home health, and home care organizations who want to improve quality of life for people living with dementia (PLWD).
