Photon Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) is a cutting-edge technology services and products company which was acquired by The Raytheon Company in October of 2004. Since its inception in 1976, PRA has been a leading pioneer in the development and application of physics-based modeling, simulation and analysis products and services for both government and commercial markets. The major focus of our business operations has been in the areas of remote sensing, missile defense, surveillance & reconnaissance, intelligence data analysis, and stealth system design. PRA's Intellectual Property and business practices are indelibly etched throughout each of these important areas of our national security enterprise. We believe the acquisition of PRA by Raytheon will provide even greater opportunities for both companies. PRA was founded in 1976 by Dr. James A. Myer and maintains its corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA. PRA has subsequently expanded to a total of five divisions at strategic sites throughout the United States.
