With an open architecture, PDW's Open ADK (autonomy platform) enables a rich suite of APIs supporting many native functions that are foundational to autonomy and autonomous behaviors. These tools will enable customers, businesses, and labs to develop their own advanced behaviors and algorithms with or without the knowledge and support of PDW. In a manner similar to the way physical payloads are changed to suit a particular mission, these behaviors and tools can be downloaded and enabled on individual vehicles in the form of “Soft Payloads,” which allows our customer programs to openly compete development of improvements to autonomous capability vice be tied strictly to PDW. In other words, we are not the keeper of the best ideas alone and believe collectively our armed forces need a collaborative environment our Open ADK will facilitate.
