What Is Our Watch?

Our Watch is an Australian, independent non-profit initiative established to drive nation-wide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that underpin and create violence against women and their children. Our Watch identifies four areas of work in their strategic plan: Lead a sustained and constructive public conversation; design and deliver innovative programs that engage and educate individuals and the community; enable organisations, networks and communities to effect change; and influence public policy, systems and institutions. Many high profile Australians have joined Our Watch as ambassadors including comedian and television presenter, Charlie Pickering, Family Violence advocate, Rosie Batty, human rights advocate, Khadija Gbla, Chair West Coast Eagles, Alan Cransberg, comedian, Julia Zemiro and actor and author, Tasma Walton. The chair is Ms Natasha Stott Despoja AM and the CEO is Ms Patty Kinnersly. Our Watch is supported by the Commonwealth Government, the Victorian Government, the Northern Territory Government, the South Australian Government, the Tasmanian Government, the Queensland Government and the West Australian Government.
