What Is Oregon Episcopal School?
Oregon Episcopal School was founded in 1869 and today is a thriving independent, coeducational, college preparatory school serving over 850 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. A boarding program is available to students in grades 9 through 12. OES is located on a 59-acre wooded campus just 15 minutes from downtown Portland, an hour from the spectacular Cascade Mountains, and less than two hours from the Oregon Coast. OES offers a true liberal arts curriculum ranging from science and mathematics to the humanities and the arts. OES faculty members are among the finest in their fields and are recruited nationwide. The faculty at OES are committed to an intensely personal style of education, aided by a student teacher ratio of 7:1. Teachers focus on the academic and emotional well being of each student, creating an atmosphere where student/teacher friendships are common.
