The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is an agency dedicated to protect and enhance Oregon’s fish and wildlife and their habitats for present and future generations This vitally important mission is accomplished through the hard work of dedicated employees whose responsibilities span up and down Oregon’s beautiful coastline, across and over the Cascades and into the majestic northeast and southeast lands of Oregon. Oregon is a place where you can fish 365 days a year, there is big game hunting for deer, elk, bear, cougar, bighorn sheep and mountain goat. Goose and duck hunting in the Willamette Valley and the Columbia River Gorge. Quail, grouse and pheasant challenge hunters and their dogs throughout eastern Oregon. The Oregon coast attracts thousands of people who clam, crab and fish in the ocean for halibut, salmon and tuna.
