What Is Oregon Community Credit Union?
Oregon Community Credit Union was founded over 50 years ago by a small group of State of Oregon employees who pooled their money together in a shoe box. Today, we've grown to become the 3rd largest credit union in Oregon with more than 90,000 members and more than $800 million in assets. We have expanded our charter to allow anyone who lives or works in Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington and Yamhill counties to become a member. Throughout our growth over the past 50 years, we have maintained our steadfast commitment to two things: keeping Oregon strong by investing in our members and our communities and to providing exceptional service in everything we do. At Oregon Community Credit Union, our goal is to help our members make healthy long-term financial decisions. That means we ask questions and listen so we can help our members choose the products and services that best meet their individual needs. We are a full-service financial institution and offer savings and checking accounts, direct deposit, auto loans, mortgages, certificates of deposit, investment services offered through LPL Financial* and more. Like all credit unions, we are not-for-profit and exist solely to serve our members and our communities. That means that unlike banks with shareholders, each member owns one share of the credit union. And, once financial requirements are met, all profits are returned to the membership in the form of higher dividends on savings, lower interest rates on loans and valuable new products and services - all combined with the friendliest service in town! When you join Oregon Community Credit Union, you can feel good knowing that your money is working for you and the community. That's because we do so many things to improve the communities in which we live and work. Through our Community Outreach for Employees Program (C.O.R.E.), the Credit Union supports community service by paying employees for volunteering with the non-profit organizations or schools of their choice. In addition, throughout the year our employees organize events to raise funds for local chapters of charities like The American Cancer Society, The United Way, Children's Miracle Network and The American Red Cross. In fact, in 2005 the Credit Union received the Credit Union Association of Oregon's first place Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Recognition Award for implementing socially responsible projects in our communities. We are committed to providing exceptional member service in everything we do and we believe that this service begins with satisfied employees. We are honored to have been chosen as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon" by Oregon Business Magazine and we are proud to offer our staff an environment where they can feel good about making a difference and where they can continually develop and learn new skills. With Oregon Community Credit Union, you'll enjoy friendly, personalized service and attention to your individual needs. We have eight full-service branches in Eugene/Springfield, as well as one in Salem. Additionally, through the Shared Branch Network and the Co-op Network, you will have access to your accounts at thousands of credit unions nationwide and more than 25,000 surcharge-free ATMs throughout the United States and Canada. We have a Member Contact Center to assist you by phone as well as Internet Banking and Bill Pay so you can manage your accounts online. After 50 years of service and dedication to people helping people, we are proud to offer an innovative range of products and services to our members, as well as the opportunity to give back to the communities we all share. So stop by and see us. We would love the opportunity to show you why Oregon Community Credit Union is your best choice for a full-service financial institution. We're looking forward to the next 50 years and are excited to help with all of your financial needs.
